Letters Sent to Publishers re Kindle TTS

Dear All,

Attached are copies of letters e-mailed today to the 6 major publishers that offer Kindle e-books: Random House, HarperCollins, Simon and Schuster, Macmillan, Penguin and Hachette.  Please post and distribute the letters through your networks and let them know we are organizing a public education campaign and welcome the participation of supporters.  The letters are identical with the exception of the letter to Random House, which specifically notes its recent action disabling text-to-speech on all of its e-books.

Now that the letters are out, we need to coordinate our next steps and mobilization plans.  Thanks to all of you for your participation in this momentous effort!
